Die Commerzbank ist die führende Bank für den Mittelstand und starker Partner von rund 30.000 Firmenkundenverbünden sowie rund 11 Millionen Privat- und Unternehmerkunden in Deutschland. In zwei Geschäftsbereichen – Privat- und Unternehmerkunden sowie Firmenkunden – bietet die Bank ein umfassendes Portfolio an Finanzdienstleistungen. Die Commerzbank wickelt rund 30 Prozent des deutschen Außenhandels ab und ist im Firmenkundengeschäft international in knapp 40 Ländern vertreten. Die Bank konzentriert sich auf den deutschen Mittelstand, Großunternehmen sowie institutionelle Kunden. Im internationalen Geschäft begleitet die Commerzbank Kunden mit einem Geschäftsbezug zu Deutschland und Unternehmen aus ausgewählten Zukunftsbranchen. Privat- und Unternehmerkunden profitieren im Zuge der Integration der Comdirect von den Leistungen einer der modernsten Onlinebanken Deutschlands in Verbindung mit persönlicher Beratung vor Ort. Die polnische Tochtergesellschaft mBank S.A. ist eine innovative Digitalbank und betreut rund 5,5 Millionen Privat- und Firmenkunden überwiegend in Polen sowie in der Tschechischen Republik und der Slowakei. Im Jahr 2020 erwirtschaftete die Commerzbank mit knapp 48.000 Mitarbeitern Bruttoerträge von rund 8,2 Milliarden Euro.
