Die AT & S, Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik AG, ist einer der führenden Leiterplattenhersteller in Europa und Indien und maßgeblich in China engagiert. Das Unternehmen produziert dünne, hochkomplexe Leiterplatten und ist deswegen zentraler Schlüssellieferant für die gesamte mobile Telekommunikation. Leiterplatten sind passive Bauelemente, die zur Verbindung von aktiven Elementen wie z.B. Transistoren, integrierten Schaltungen und Mikroprozessoren dienen. Sie sind das Herzstück im Inneren von Mobiltelefonen und anderen Handhelds. Fast jedes vierte Handy in Europa ist mit einer Leiterplatte von AT & S ausgestattet. Die Produktpalette reicht von einseitigen über doppelseitigen bis hin zu mehrlagigen Leiterplatten. Erweitert wird das Produktportfolio mit der Herstellung von IC-Substraten (Integrated Circuit Substrates), die die Halbleiter mit der Leiterplatte verbinden. Die angebotenen Bauelemente finden auch in den Kerngeschäften Automotive, Industrial, Medical und Advanced Packaging Anwendung. Der AT & S Konzern verfügt über Produktionsstätten in Österreich (Leoben, Fehring), Indien (Nanjangud), China (Shanghai, Chongqing) und Korea (Ansan nahe Seoul), eine Einkaufs- und Vertriebsgesellschaft in Hongkong und zahlreiche internationale Vertriebsbüros. Des Weiteren unterhält AT&S ein eigenes Vertriebs-, Service- und Designzentrum in Nörvenich, Deutschland.
